Peter growing up in Richmond, and Heidi growing up in Huntington. We both have deep roots in our community. We established Mann & Machine in 1996 and are built on being friendly, honest, affordable and in a timely manner.

History
Mann & Machine is a small family owned business located in Richmond, Vermont established in 1996 by Peter and Heidi Bormann.
Peter grow up in Richmond, Vermont and always had a love of cars at a young age. My father ran the Sunoco Station in Williston when I was a teenager and I worked with him until I went off to College and attended McPherson Auto Restoration. I moved away to Martha’s Vineyard for 5 years running Depot Corner Mobil in Edgartown, Mass. I retuned to Richmond, Vermont I met my wife Heidi who was running her own successful business.
After a few years Heidi encouraged me to start Mann & Machine in 1996. In 1999 Heidi joined me in the daily operations at Mann & Machine. I like working on cars and she loves working with people. We started out in a two bay garage on Route 2 just outside of Richmond Village, where we served the community for 18 years.
In 2014 we were presented with the opportunity to purchase a commercial building that had a four bay garage in part of the building, with an office space and nice waiting room.
In 2016 we were able to welcome our Son Kyle onto the team, he is leading our shop into the electric vehicle getting certified for HEV / EV vehicles in 2020. The Bormann Family is proud to call Richmond our home. When you love what you do and are able to be with your family everyday. I consider it an honor and privilege to serve our community keeping everyone safe!
